New Addition For 2010 Season: 2004 EVO

New for the upcoming 2010 season is a 2004 Mitsubishi EVO.
This car was purchased in September. The car was essentially race ready when purchased. It had been previously used for parking lot Auto-X events and for HPDE days.

There are a few upgrades that will need to take place over the winter however to make it safer and also to set it up for road coarse Time Trial events. We were able to test the car out at a track day in October, unfortunately that day was cold and wet. Hopefully enough info was gathered however to allow us to make the changes needed to convert this into a well setup road coarse car. Based on the very limited amount of dry track that we had during that test day, this car should be quick right out of the box with just a few suspension changes. I am sure the early part of the 2010 season will be a learning curve with this new car.

Plan right now is to possibly run both cars next season. Depending on the outcome of some pending rule changes for the Midwestern Council Autocross Series, the Eclipse may continue to be ran in B-Modified and the Evo will be used for NASA Time Trials. Once the season schedules are out and the rules are finalized for both groups we will decide whether it will possible to run both series once again next year.
