NASA TTB Midwest Championship!
2009 was a very successful year for Vance Motorsports. This was the first full season that we competed in NASA Time Trials in the Midwest division. We also ran in Midwestern Council's High Speed Autocross series as well.
We finished the season by bringing home the NASA TTB championship and took second place for the year in Midwestern Council B-Modified class.
Both series were competed in using a 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX driven by Jeff Vance. Due to the difference in rule sets for each organization, several compromises had to be made to make the car legal to run in NASA TTB and Midwestern Council BM class. Many hours were spent in the garage preparing the car for each upcoming race weekend. Enough cannot be said about the reliability of the Eclipse this past season. As with any car being competitively raced you are always going to have items that wear out, but these items were minor and the car performed wonderfully. After several seasons of competition this car has proven to be a reliable and also cost efficient platform to compete in.
Many thanks to my family that made the success of this past season a reality. I could have never done it without your help and support!!
