One more day of testing was done at Autobahn South on Saturday. There were two primary goals for the day.
First of all Kris Von Sydow (owner of VS Motorsports) was to drive the car to help give some setup advice and see what kind of times he could achieve with the car.
Second goal of the day was for Jeff to better his lap times over the 1:34.4 that was last run at the NASA event in July. This would be key for making a good placement at the upcoming Midwest-Great Lakes Region crossover event at Autobahn South in September.
Without going into details, both goals were accomplished and a bit more speed was found in the car. There is still a bit more that could be gained, but the car is very well set up at this point and is very quick to drive. Everyone felt positive about progress made by the end of the day.
Many thanks to the VS Motosrsports team for their help in further developement of this car. Yesterday was alot of fun and progress was made. Best of luck to them as they travel to Florida to run the Redline Time Attack at Sebring this upcoming weekend!!
We will be traveling to Lexington, Ohio to run a NASA TT event at Mid Ohio. This will be the first time visiting this track. This track will be hosting the NASA Nationals in 2011. No time like the present to start preparing for the possibility of competing there next year.
The following weekend we will be in South Haven, MI at Gingerman Raceway. This will be an exciting event for the Midwest TT group.
The next couple of weeks are going to be very busy with car prep and traveling. Should be fun!
